My latest obsession: Tory Burch's Kissing Fly Belt

Kissing Fly Belt

Kissing Fly Belt

It was love at first sight, really.

Tory Burch's Kissing Fly Belt for Fall 2013 comes in Aged Vachetta (as seen above) and Black. I might not be interested in Entomology, but I certainly appreciate an unexpected object and pop of colour every now and then.

Gorman's Unique New York Dress

Gorman Dress

Gorman Dress

Love the dress, hate the price tag. I saw this cute dress about a month ago on a sales gal, but didn't give it much thought, because it's leather.

Where would I wear it and would it make me appear soft or hard?

It's currently on sale, so I made the horrible mistake of trying it on. I fell in like, not in love.

For a whopping $400 bucks I could've taken this dress home with me, alas we parted ways. I shall stalk it for a little while longer.

I should just get this jacket -- it has my name all over it :)

My interpretation (sans the Burberry wardrobe)

My interpretation (sans the Burberry wardrobe)

I took a mental image of this month's InStyle magazine featuring the very beautiful Emily Blunt and tasked myself with the challenge of replicating her look. As far as I could tell Emily's wearing minimal foundation -- if you look close enough you can almost see her freckles.

The key colours:

  • Navy
  • Aubergine
  • Silver
  • Pink
  • White

The last three colours must have (IMHO) a frosty finish in order to convey the ethereal, borderline Sci-Fi look the makeup artist was hoping to achieve. As for the rest of the look, Emily's cheeks are subtly sun-kissed and her lips resemble the colour of apricots.

Here's a closer look at my eyes...

On the horizon: my next handbag

1 | 2 | 3 | 4

So many bags, so little time.

1. Phillip Lim's Scout Drawstring Hobo seems like a far better alternative to my most recent lemming.

2. Rennes' Mini Château Duffle might be sold out, but I can still lust after it for a while.

3. Elizabeth and James Leather Hobo Bag is far more affordable than the Row's Backpack.

4. Not quite brown and certainly not black, Coach's Madison Phoebe Shoulder Bag has left me salivating. I honestly can't wait to see how Coach's newly appointed designer, Stuart Vevers, revolutionises the brand.
